Terms of Use
These Terms of Use ("Terms") apply when you download, install, or use the GlossPage application ("App" or "Service"). By using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Who We Are
GlossPage is operated from Austria. References to "we", "us", or "our" mean the operator of GlossPage.

2. What GlossPage Does
GlossPage is an iOS translation app that helps translate text found in images, screenshots, PDFs, and web pages. The App may use on-device processing and, where enabled by you, optional cloud-based processing.
Available features may depend on your device, iOS version, language availability, subscription plan, and the availability of third-party services.
3. Eligibility
The App is intended for users aged 13 and older. If you are under 18, you should use the App only with permission from a parent or guardian.
4. Licence to Use the App
The App is licensed to you, not sold. You are granted a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, subject to these Terms and Apple's applicable terms.
You may not copy, modify, resell, rent, sublicense, reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the App, except where such restrictions are not allowed by applicable law.
5. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases
GlossPage offers optional subscription plans that unlock additional features. All purchases, billing, renewal, cancellation, and refunds are handled by Apple through the App Store.
- We do not collect or handle your payment information.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled through your Apple ID settings before the renewal date.
- You can manage or cancel a subscription in Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone, or by visiting support.apple.com/billing.
- Refund requests are handled by Apple according to Apple's refund policies. We cannot process App Store refunds directly.
- Subscription prices and available plans may change. Any renewal price changes are handled through Apple's App Store processes.
Subscriptions give you access to App features during the active subscription period. They do not give you ownership of the App, its code, design, branding, or underlying technology.
6. Cloud Features and User Content
Some GlossPage features are optional cloud features. These may send recognised text, image regions containing text, or full documents to third-party cloud providers in order to provide OCR, translation, or document translation results.
Cloud features are described in more detail in our Privacy Policy. By using cloud features, you acknowledge that the content needed to provide the requested feature may be transmitted to and processed by third-party providers.
You are responsible for the images, text, PDFs, web pages, and other content you process with the App. You must have the right to use, scan, translate, or process that content.
7. Sensitive or Confidential Content
GlossPage may be used with documents or images that contain personal, confidential, legal, medical, financial, or business information. You are responsible for deciding whether it is appropriate to process such content with the App, especially when using optional cloud features.
Do not use cloud features for content that you are not authorised to transmit to external service providers.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the App to:
- Violate applicable laws or regulations.
- Infringe the rights of others, including privacy, copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights.
- Process content that you are not authorised to use or transmit.
- Interfere with, overload, damage, or misuse the App or any related service provider systems.
- Bypass subscription controls, access limits, security features, or technical protection measures.
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially provide access to the App without our prior written permission.
9. Translation and OCR Accuracy
GlossPage provides OCR and machine translation tools to help you understand text. OCR and translation results may be inaccurate, incomplete, delayed, or unsuitable for a particular purpose.
GlossPage does not provide certified, official, legal, medical, financial, or professional translation services. You should review all results before relying on them, especially for important documents or decisions.
10. Intellectual Property
GlossPage, including its name, logo, design, software, and related materials, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
We do not claim ownership of the content you process with the App. We also do not claim ownership of the translation output created from your content, to the extent such output can be owned under applicable law.
11. Third-Party Services
The App may interact with third-party services, including Apple's App Store and cloud processing providers. These services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
We are not responsible for the availability, performance, accuracy, policies, or practices of third-party services.
12. Changes to the App
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the App from time to time. This may include adding, changing, or removing features, supported languages, subscription plans, or cloud providers.
Where reasonably practical, we will provide notice of material changes that significantly affect paid features.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no warranties, express or implied, about the App, including warranties of accuracy, reliability, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not guarantee that the App will always be available, error-free, secure, or that OCR or translation results will be correct.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so some of the above exclusions may not apply to you.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of profit, business interruption, incorrect translations, OCR errors, or service interruptions.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability for any claim relating to the App or these Terms will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for the App during the 12 months before the claim or €10.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including mandatory consumer protection rights.
15. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you breach these Terms, misuse the App, or if we are required to do so by law.
After termination, the sections of these Terms that by their nature should continue to apply will remain in effect, including sections about intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law, and disputes.
16. Privacy
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how GlossPage handles data, including local processing, optional cloud features, subscriptions, diagnostics, and support requests.
17. Governing Law and Consumer Rights
These Terms are governed by the laws of Austria, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
If you are a consumer in the European Union or another jurisdiction with mandatory consumer protection laws, you also benefit from any mandatory rights that cannot be excluded by contract. Nothing in these Terms limits those rights.

If you have a concern or dispute, please contact us first at admin@glosspage.com so we can try to resolve it informally.
EU consumers may also access the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
19. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide notice in the App.
Changes apply from the date they are posted unless a later date is stated. Continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
